Jaipur, 23 November 2025: The 13th Convocation Ceremony of JK Lakshmipat University (JKLU), Jaipur, was held on Sunday at the university campus, where a total of 295 students received degrees and diplomas in engineering, management, and design programs. This year, female students achieved remarkable success by securing 9 out of the 10 gold medals, once again highlighting women’s academic excellence.
The chief guest at the ceremony was Mr. R. Gopalakrishnan, renowned author, corporate advisor, and former Director of Tata Sons Ltd. The event also marked the university’s Foundation Day, celebrated on the birth anniversary of its founder and eminent industrialist Lala Lakshmipat Singhania.
The ceremony began with a welcome address by JKLU Pro-Chancellor Mr. Harsh Pati Singhania, who greeted all dignitaries, students, and parents. He highlighted the 140-year legacy of excellence and nation-building of the JK Group. He also paid tribute to Lala Lakshmipat Singhania for his enormous contributions to India’s industrial development and social transformation.
In his Foundation Day address, Mr. Singhania said that today’s world is changing rapidly, especially due to technology. In such times, the most important ability is to ask questions, stay curious, and think about new opportunities. Education is not just about acquiring information but developing the mindset to handle new and challenging situations with intelligence, curiosity, and responsibility.
Congratulating the graduating students, he said:
“As you move forward in your life, remember that you have spent some of your most formative years at JK Lakshmipat University. Stay connected with the university, come back, and share your thoughts and experiences. We learn and grow from you as well. We look forward to your achievements with pride.”
Vice-Chancellor Prof. Vijaysekar Chellaboina presented the annual report and outlined the university’s achievements over the past year.
Wishing students success, he said,
“Remember that your personal and professional journeys are not separate. A meaningful professional life forms the foundation of a stable personal life. The world of work is changing rapidly. AI is redefining skills today, and another technology may do so tomorrow. What is certain is that what you learn at the university is only the beginning. Continuous learning and adaptation will be essential for future success.”
He added that skills can evolve or fade, and talent can take new forms, but character always stays with you. That is what truly defines you.
He concluded with three key values to carry forward:
Sensitivity – to understand people and situations deeply.
Humility – to stay grounded even in success.
Curiosity – to keep learning and stay relevant with time.
