Jaipur, December 21.

With dreams of a bright future in their eyes and the joy of holding degrees in their hands, students and their families witnessed a proud and memorable moment during the 10th Convocation Ceremony of Mahatma Jyoti Rao Phoole University (MJRP University), held on Sunday. The grand academic event turned into a lifelong cherished memory for thousands of students and parents alike.

The prestigious convocation was organized at the University’s Knowledge Campus, where Rajasthan Lokayukta Justice Pratap Krishna Lohra, University Chairperson Nirmal Panwar, and District Judge Manoj Soni conferred degrees upon nearly 2,000 students. On this occasion, 18 PhD degrees were awarded, along with 57 Gold Medals, 48 Silver Medals, and 9 Chairperson Awards to meritorious students.

Addressing the gathering, Justice Pratap Krishna Lohra said that receiving a degree is not the end, but the beginning of the real test of life. He encouraged students to view challenges as opportunities and never underestimate themselves. “Every individual possesses some form of talent. Education finds true meaning only when it contributes to solving societal problems,” he emphasized.

Justice Lohra expressed pride in conferring honorary doctorates upon three Padma Shri awardees and congratulated the university for recognizing excellence across diverse fields. He praised MJRP University’s disciplined environment, academic excellence, and progressive outlook, stating that the institution reflects the ideals of social equality championed by Mahatma Jyotiba Phule. He further noted that the university has emerged as one of the leading higher education institutions not only in Rajasthan but across the country.

In his presidential address, University Chairperson Nirmal Panwar congratulated the degree and medal recipients, stating that India’s golden future lies in the hands of educated youth. “Education does not end with a degree. It is from this point that life’s real journey begins,” he said, urging students to use their knowledge for the welfare of society and the nation.

During the ceremony, honorary Doctorate degrees were conferred upon three distinguished Padma Shri awardees for their outstanding contributions—Harman Sharma, a progressive farmer known for advancing apple cultivation; Begum Betul, an internationally acclaimed Maand and Bhajan singer; and Vasudev Taranath Kamat, a renowned painter.

Following the convocation, Bollywood actors Pulkit Samrat and Varun Sharma visited the Achrol Campus, where they interacted with students, shared light-hearted moments, and spoke about their upcoming film, adding a celebratory and youthful spirit to the event
