National Divyang Day Celebrated at Jawahar Kala Kendra Governor Haribhau Kisanrao Bagde Inaugurates the Event — Says, “Divyang Individuals Can Achieve Extraordinary Milestones When Given Opportunities”





A Significant Initiative by the Indian Divyang Association to Strengthen Inclusion and Sensitivity

Jaipur. On the occasion of World Divyang Day, a grand National Divyang Day Ceremony was organized by the Indian Divyang Association on 3 December at the Rangayan Auditorium of Jawahar Kala Kendra.
Participants from across the country showcased their talent, art, skills, and extraordinary courage, leaving the audience deeply moved. The auditorium echoed with applause celebrating the determination and confidence of Divyang individuals.

The primary objective of the event was to provide a national platform, promote positive social attitudes and inclusion, and highlight the capabilities of Divyang individuals in mainstream society.


Governor Bagde’s Message: “Divyang Individuals Are No Less Than Anyone”

The ceremony commenced with the traditional lamp lighting by Governor Haribhau Kisanrao Bagde.
In his inspiring address, he said:


“Divyang individuals are in no way lesser than others. When given the right opportunities and platform, they can excel in every field and set remarkable examples for society.”

He appreciated the efforts of the Indian Divyang Association, calling it a significant and impactful initiative for social transformation.

The program was conducted by Govind Narayan, National President of the Indian Divyang Association.
Event coordination was led by Chairperson of the National Women Protection Council Samiksha Jain, National Chief Advisor Devendra Kumar Sharma, and Rajasthan In-charge Vishnu Kumar Mittal.


ASG Eye Hospital’s Initiative: Free Eye-Care Support for All Participants

ASG Eye Hospital’s humanitarian contribution added meaningful value to the event.
The hospital's Marketing Manager Manish Mudgal informed that the medical team provided detailed guidance on eye diseases, eye care, prevention, and routine checkups to Divyang participants from across the country.

ASG Eye Hospital also distributed free consultation coupons, under which:

  • Doctor consultations will be absolutely free
  • Basic eye examinations will also be provided at no cost

Mudgal said the purpose of this initiative is to promote eye-health awareness among Divyang individuals and provide them access to essential medical services without financial concerns.


21 Distinguished Individuals Honored

A total of 21 individuals were felicitated during the ceremony, including:

  • 10 Divyang achievers, honored with the “Divyang Gaurav Samman”
  • 10 non-divyang contributors, honored with the “Divyang Jyoti Samman”
  • The Rajasthan Wheelchair Cricket Team, awarded the prestigious “Indian Divyang Association Ratna” for their exceptional contribution




Divyang Gaurav Samman Awardees:

Gyarasi Lal, Narendra, Alok, Omprakash Saini, Sharda, Ginni, Mamta Verma, Pappu, Neha Arora, and Dilip Kumar Pargi — all recognized for their remarkable achievements in their respective fields.

Divyang Jyoti Samman Awardees:

Jay Vashistha, Govind Natani, Devendra Kumar Sharma, Kamlesh Soni, Akshay Sen, Dr. Himanshu Allahabadi, and other noted social contributors were honored.

Cultural Performances Captivated the Audience

Music, dance, and dramatic performances by Divyang artists remained the highlight of the program.
Their exceptional talent proved that:

“True talent is neither limited by the body nor by circumstances.”



The audience rose to their feet multiple times, offering standing ovations and filling the auditorium with thunderous applause.
