Jaipur, January 17:
At the Jaipur Literature Festival, the Pink City is celebrating not only words and books but also the vibrant language of art. As a preview to the upcoming Jaipur Art Week, an engaging art installation has been showcased at the heart of the festival, drawing significant attention from visitors.
The interactive art installation titled ‘Taak-Jhaank 01’ by artist Ansh Kumar emerged as a major attraction, actively engaging with literature enthusiasts. Measuring 12 x 5.5 x 3 feet, the installation has been crafted using stainless steel, mirrors, aluminium, and colorful glass. The mirror fragments come together to create kaleidoscopic, ever-changing patterns, offering a dynamic visual experience.
Explaining the concept behind the artwork, Ansh Kumar said that the installation conveys the message that embracing new ideas requires stepping beyond conventional frameworks. The artwork does not demand any elaborate effort to come alive — a gentle breeze, a curious touch, or even a soft blow on the pinwheel is enough to set it in motion. This simplicity and playful essence encourage viewers to interact and connect with the artwork.

The installation has been brought to life by Manoj Ram Sagar and Rahul’s team, while the curatorial text has been written by Claudia Stoleru.
Jaipur Art Week Founder and Chairperson Sana Rezwan aims to take art beyond galleries and enclosed spaces, making it accessible to the general public while providing a common platform for emerging and established artists from India and across the globe. From January 27 to February 3, the entire city will transform into an open art gallery, featuring art installations at multiple locations. Through this art preview at JLF, Jaipur Art Week seeks to spark greater public interest in contemporary art.
