Kinnar Akhada Alleges Organized Network Operating Under “Kinnar Jihad” Claims Illegal Extortion, Forced Conversions; Links Issue to National Security

Jaipur, January 16.

Kinnar Akhada on Friday made serious allegations regarding alleged illegal activities and religious radicalization within sections of the transgender (kinnar) community. Addressing a press conference held at Sumer Paradise in Mansarovar, Kinnar Akhada founder Rishi Ajay Das Maharaj claimed that an organized network, which he referred to as “Kinnar Jihad,” is active across the country and involved in forced religious conversions, illegal extortion, and economic exploitation of Sanatani kinnars.

Ajay Das Maharaj alleged that a large number of Sanatani kinnars are being pressured, intimidated, and coerced into adopting Islamic rituals. He claimed that those who resist face social boycott, physical assault, and financial penalties. According to him, despite being born into Hindu families, the last rites of several kinnars are allegedly performed according to Islamic customs.

During the press conference, it was further alleged that certain kinnar gangs are involved in aggressive extortion during festivals, weddings, and other auspicious occasions. The money collected through such means is allegedly spent on alcohol, gambling, entertainment, and other questionable activities. He also claimed that so-called kinnar congregations lasting 10 to 15 days involve expenses running into several crores of rupees, with no tax liability or government oversight.

Rishi Ajay Das Maharaj also alleged the presence of Bangladeshi individuals within some kinnar groups, calling it a potential threat to internal security. He questioned why kinnar gangs allegedly involved in large-scale financial transactions remain outside the purview of taxation and regulatory scrutiny, while other social and religious organizations are required to submit financial disclosures.

Appealing to society and the government, Ajay Das Maharaj demanded action against what he described as radical elements within the kinnar community and called for the restoration of dignity, rights, and religious freedom for Sanatani kinnars. He warned that the alleged infiltration of radical elements disguised in kinnar attire during major religious events, including the Kumbh Mela, could pose serious national security concerns.

Representatives from various organizations, including Bajrang Sena, Hindu Vahini Sena, Vishwa Hindu Parishad, and Meena Mahasangh, along with members of the kinnar community, were present at the press conference and expressed support for an impartial investigation into the allegations.
