Painting Workshop Organized on 16th National Voters’ Day Aim is to Create Voter Awareness and Strengthen Democracy




Jaipur, January 23.

On the occasion of the 16th National Voters’ Day, a painting workshop was organized on Friday at the Chaturdik Art Gallery, Jawahar Kala Kendra, under the joint aegis of the State Election Commission, Rajasthan and the Rajasthan School of Art, Jaipur..


The workshop was inaugurated by Jaipur District Election Officer and Collector Dr. Jitendra Kumar Soni. Addressing the participants, he said that the objective of organizing such painting workshops is to spread voter awareness and strengthen the foundations of democracy through creative expression.


Principal of Rajasthan School of Art, Jaipur, Dr. Anil Kumar Khandelwal, informed that this painting workshop is organized every year on National Voters’ Day in collaboration with the State Election Department. This year, 35 students from Rajasthan School of Art and the Indian Institute of Crafts and Design participated in the workshop. The participants created paintings based on the theme Special Intensive Revision (SIR) provided by the Election Department.


Workshop Convener and Assistant Professor Pankaj Yadav stated that the best 10 artworks were awarded by the District Magistrate. All selected paintings will be displayed on January 25, 2026, during the state-level function of the 16th National Voters’ Day at the Rajasthan International Centre, Jaipur. The exhibition will be inaugurated and reviewed by His Excellency the Governor of Rajasthan, Shri Haribhau Bagade.



On this occasion, Nodal Officer Smt. Sanghmitra Bardiya, Electoral Registration Officer (Bagru), and Assistant Nodal Officer Shri Bajrang Lal Swami, Electoral Registration Officer (Amer), along with other officials, were present and extended full support to make the event successful.
