Jaipur, March 27, 2026:
An eye check-up camp was organized today at the Central Jail Jaipur for both male and female inmates. The camp was conducted by Abhay Kesari NGO in collaboration with Swanetra Eye Hospital, Jaipur, with the support of Mrs. Anuja Golecha, Mrs. Kanishka Jain, and Mrs. Pinky Bengani.
During the camp, around 320 male inmates and 180 female inmates underwent eye examinations. Following the check-up, 250 inmates will be provided free spectacles. Many inmates had been facing vision-related issues for a long time, and the camp proved to be a significant relief for them.
The initiative was organized under the inspiration of Director General of Prisons, Mr. Ashok Rathore, and through the efforts of Deputy Inspector General (Range Jaipur), Mrs. Suman Maliwal.
The camp witnessed the presence of Mr. Sumer Singh, Deputy Superintendent, Central Jail Jaipur; Mrs. Saroj Vishnoi, Deputy Superintendent, Women’s Correctional Home Jaipur; along with Dr. Sachin Jadaun and Dr. Kailash Vijayvargiya. Jail administration staff and inmates were also present in large numbers.
In addition, around 120 personnel from Prison Headquarters Rajasthan Jaipur, DIG Range Jaipur Office, Women’s Jail, Central Jail, Secretariat Personnel Department, RAC, and jail staff also underwent eye check-ups during the camp.
