Renowned Rajasthan-based designer Kirti Rathore made a remarkable mark on the global stage with her latest collection, “Jaipur Gotta”, showcased at the prestigious New York Fashion Week Fall/Winter 2026 held at Times Square, New York.
Notably, Rathore remains the only designer from Rajasthan to receive a recurring invitation to present Indian fashion at NYFW, representing the state’s rich textile heritage on an international platform year after year.
Her collection featured vibrant, organic hand-dyed sarees adorned with traditional Jaipur Bandhani and intricate Gotta Patti and Charkhi Gotta embroidery. These timeless crafts are brought to life by skilled artisans from Nayla village in Rajasthan, preserving centuries-old techniques.
Blending tradition with modernity, Rathore paired the sarees with contemporary corset blouses, creating a striking fusion of classic elegance and modern aesthetics. The sarees were styled in innovative drapes, including dhoti styles, adding a fresh perspective to traditional Indian attire.
The showcase received a standing ovation from an international audience, applauding Rathore’s ability to present Rajasthan’s cultural essence with a modern global appeal.
The event, organized by Hi Tech Moda, was a two-day fashion extravaganza featuring designers and brands from across the world.
“My Dream Girl,” led by Kamlesh Chugh, provided a platform for Indian-origin American models to walk the ramp for Rathore’s collection.
The show was choreographed by actor and Mr. India Aryan Vaid, adding further glamour to the presentation. Young talent Bianca captivated the audience as the showstopper, dazzling in an ice-blue custom halter dress.
Rathore’s regal collection drew praise from prominent personalities across the United States, including members of the American Embassy.
Speaking about her vision, Kirti Rathore emphasized that Rajasthan’s fashion represents a seamless blend of tradition and contemporary design. Through her work, she aims to promote fashion tourism globally while highlighting Indian textiles and hand embroidery.
Her initiative, “Culture Beyond Textiles,” focuses on supporting local artisans—especially women-led small businesses—by showcasing their craftsmanship through international exhibitions and workshops.
