Foundation Laid for Girls’ Empowerment: 100-Room Hostel to be Built in Jaipur Four-storey facility to be developed with support from 70 donors; ₹10 lakh announced from MLA fund

 


Jaipur: In a significant step towards promoting girls’ education and empowerment, Dr. Ambedkar Memorial Welfare Society laid the foundation stone for a large girls’ hostel at its premises in Jhalana Doongri on Sunday. The project, named Mata Ramabai Ambedkar Girls’ Hostel, was formally inaugurated with a traditional ground-breaking ceremony and unveiling of the foundation plaque, in the presence of public representatives and eminent members of society.



The proposed hostel will be a four-storey structure comprising 100 rooms. It will be equipped with modern amenities, including well-furnished rooms, a waiting area, kitchen, dining hall, and other essential facilities, making it a safe and high-quality residential campus for girls.


Retired IAS officer Hanuman Prasad, MLA Kalicharan Saraf, and Ram Chordiya attended the event as chief guests. Addressing the gathering, MLA Kalicharan Saraf emphasized that girls are excelling in every field and it is the responsibility of society to provide them with better opportunities. He also announced a financial contribution of ₹10 lakh from his MLA fund towards the project.



Society President Satyaveer Singh stated that the progress of any society depends on the education of its girls. He added that the hostel will not only provide accommodation but also serve as a platform to help thousands of girls achieve their dreams. He highlighted that the project is being realized through collective community support. On this occasion, the society also launched its new website.

More than 70 donors have contributed generously to this ambitious project and were felicitated during the event.

Among those present were PC Hadiya, Senior Vice President Rameshwar Prasad Bairwa, General Secretary Dr. Chetaram Raipuriya, Treasurer Dayanand Sakkarwal, KL Bairwa, BL Bairwa, Construction Committee Chairman Surendra Kumar Beri, Sunil Narnauliya, and several other distinguished members. The event was hosted by Vinod Verma Ralawata.

Young leaders Ravi Meghwal, Pooja Verma, Ajay Dagar, and a large number of youth also participated in the program. This initiative is expected to become a milestone in advancing girls’ education and social empowerment.
