Jaipur: Under the framework of the National Education Policy (NEP 2020), special emphasis has been placed on Early Childhood Education and Balvatika learning to make foundational education stronger, activity-based, and learning-oriented. Considering the rapidly growing demand for trained and skilled educators in the field of early childhood education, UpEducators Academy has launched the “Skills Sakhi” initiative.
The initiative aims to prepare girls, young women, and aspiring educators as professionally trained teachers through skill-based education and practical learning programs. The initiative is designed to help future educators align with modern teaching systems and contribute effectively to the holistic development of children.
Director of UpEducators Academy, Amita Vajpayee Garg, stated that the training program includes NTT, ECCE, Child Development, Play-way Learning, Phonics, Art & Craft, Calligraphy, AI in Education, Digital Skills, Google Tools, and modern teaching methodologies. She explained that the objective is not only to provide teaching skills but also to help educators understand the emotional, social, and creative development needs of children.
She further informed that the courses are available in both online and offline modes, allowing a larger number of women and students to participate in the initiative. The Skills Sakhi initiative was previously being conducted on a limited scale and has now been expanded further.
As part of the Jaipur event, a poster launch and career guidance program was also organised. Social worker Basant Jain, program coordinator Amitabh Bajpai Garg, Bhim Singh, Rama dutt
and several distinguished personalities from the education and social sectors attended the event. All the guests appreciated the initiative and described it as a meaningful step towards empowering women and youth while creating better career opportunities in the education sector.

The initiative is being viewed as an important effort towards women empowerment, employment generation, and the development of skilled manpower in the education field. Education experts believe that after the implementation of NEP 2020, the demand for trained educators in early childhood learning will increase significantly, making such initiatives highly relevant for the future.
