Rajasthani Folk Music to Echo in Paris as Rahis Bharti and Dhoad Band Perform at ‘Bonjour Modi’ Event Prime Minister Narendra Modi to witness a special cultural showcase of Rajasthan’s rich folk heritage in Paris on June 18

 

Jaipur: Renowned folk artist and the internationally acclaimed Dhoad Band will present a special performance at the prestigious “Bonjour Modi” event in on June 18, 2026. The event is being organized in honor of Indian Prime Minister and is regarded as a significant celebration of Indian culture, the Indian diaspora, and Indo-French friendship.

The event will be held at the iconic concert hall in Paris. Dhoad Band has been officially selected by the Indian Embassy in Paris, making it a moment of pride for Rajasthan and India’s cultural community.

Rajasthan’s Folk Heritage on the Global Stage

Currently on their Europe Tour 2026, Rahis Bharti and Dhoad Band are accompanied by nearly 20 folk artists from remote villages of Rajasthan. The troupe is presenting Indian folk music and cultural traditions at various festivals and cultural events across France and Europe.

A 26-Year Journey of Cultural Excellence

For the past 26 years, Rahis Bharti and Dhoad Band have been actively promoting Indian folk culture across the globe. The group has performed in more than 119 countries, earning international recognition as one of India’s most prominent cultural ambassadors.

Every year, the troupe spends nearly six to seven months abroad, showcasing the richness of Indian and Rajasthani folk traditions. Through Rahis Bharti’s efforts, more than 700 folk artists from Rajasthan have received opportunities to perform on national and international platforms.





The Dhoad Band has played a vital role in bringing global recognition to traditional communities and art forms such as Langa, Manganiyar, Kalbelia, Dhadhi, Damami, Rana communities, and traditional brass band performers.

More International Performances Ahead

Following the “Bonjour Modi” event, the Dhoad Band has also been invited to perform at prestigious international music festivals and cultural events in Portugal, France, Germany, Switzerland, Italy, and Spain.

Expressing his excitement, Rahis Bharti said that performing at an event organized in honor of Prime Minister Narendra Modi is a matter of immense pride and honor. He added that the opportunity represents not only the Dhoad Band but also Rajasthan’s folk artists, cultural traditions, and India’s rich heritage on the global stage.
