Jaipur, 21 November. As per the directions of Jaipur Municipal Corporation Commissioner Dr. Gaurav Saini and based on prior complaints, a major enforcement drive was conducted on Friday by the Vigilance Wing under the supervision of the Deputy Commissioner (Vigilance). The drive covered several areas within the jurisdiction of Jaipur Municipal Corporation, including:

  • OTS Chauraha to Saras Pulia (both sides)
  • Gandhi Circle to Gandhi Nagar Mode (with JDA)
  • Under Durgapura Pulia, BSNL Office Durgapura, Vishwakarma Nagar–Triveni Nagar–Gopalpura Bypass,
  • Shiprapath Mansarovar near Tibetan Market, B-2 Bypass Tonk Road to New Sanganer Road
  • Tripolia Bazaar, Badi Chaupad, Chhoti Chaupad, Kishanpole Bazaar, Sanjay Bazaar, Bapu Bazaar
  • Jhotwara Road, Kabir Marg, Collectorate Backside Area, District & Sessions Court Area
  • Vaishali Nagar, 22 Godam Road, Vishwakarma Bazaar, Chaura Rasta, Johari Bazaar, Zorawar Singh Gate
  • Old Ramgarh Mode, Jal Mahal, Amer Road, Bathwadi, Delhi Bypass Road, Galta Gate Road
  • Transport Nagar Road, Rotary Circle, Ghat ki Guni, Jagatpura Road, Jamdoli

During the enforcement action, 11 canters of goods were seized and sent to the municipal storage facility, and ₹88,000 was recovered as carrying charges from temporary encroachers.

The Deputy Commissioner (Vigilance) stated that temporary encroachments across the above-mentioned locations were removed as part of the drive. Those found encroaching were warned on the spot and instructed to remove temporary structures in the future on their own. They were cautioned that failure to do so would result in heavy penalties and strict action by the Jaipur Municipal Corporation against illegal encroachment within its jurisdiction.
