Kota. The Kota–Bundi Dugdh Utpadak Sahakari Sangh Ltd. held its 27th Annual General Meeting on Friday at Siyam Auditorium, Agriculture Bhawan, Nayapura. Chairpersons and secretaries of milk cooperative societies from Kota and Bundi attended the meeting, where they presented their demands and suggestions.
More than 800 representatives from dairy societies were present. During the session, 14 best-performing societies—selected for timely milk supply, quality parameters, and highest milk contributions—were honoured. The annual report was also presented and approved by voice vote.
Union Chairman Chain Singh Rathore announced a net profit of ₹101.63 lakh for the financial year 2024–25 and declared a bonus/dividend of ₹58 lakh (20 paise per litre) for milk producers.

The meeting was chaired by Saras Dairy Chairman Chain Singh Rathore. Dairy Managing Director Dilkhush Meena, Additional Registrar (Cooperative) Balvinder Singh Gill, Deputy Registrar Rajesh Meena, and other officials were also present.
“Government Schemes Will Greatly Benefit Farmers” – Minister Kumawat
In his address, Minister Joraram Kumawat said that dairy plays a vital role in increasing farmers’ income and appreciated the significant efforts of Kota Saras Dairy in this direction.
He announced approval for increasing dairy processing capacity from 1.5 lakh litres to 3 lakh litres per day, and assured early completion of the cattle feed plant in Kota.
He informed that:
- The state government has distributed ₹1,000 crore to farmers via DBT.
- Under the Mangla Animal Insurance Scheme, compensation is provided for death of cattle due to accidents or illness—completely free of cost, covering one animal per family.
- The government has announced ₹540 crore for animal husbandry sector improvements, including new veterinary centres, polyclinics and modernization of dairies.
- A ₹1,000 crore Dairy Development Corpus Fund has been sanctioned for infrastructure strengthening.
- Under the Gir Breed Improvement Programme, high-yield Brazilian Gir genetics are being introduced in 23 districts to enhance milk productivity.
Kota–Bundi Milk Union Achieves Turnaround: Chairman Rathore
Chairman Chain Singh Rathore informed that the union’s profit jumped from just ₹7.55 lakh in 2023–24 to ₹101.63 lakh in 2024–25, owing to several corrective measures.
Under the state government’s 2025–26 dairy expansion announcement, a proposal for a ₹25 crore modern milk plant in Kota has already been sent, along with a DPR to RCDC, Jaipur.
He added that the union:
- Collects 2.89 lakh litres of milk daily from 1,619 villages
- Has 975 cooperative societies with 45,231 registered producers
- Strengthened milk distribution systems and initiated plans to open new booths in urban areas
- Carried out special campaigns for cattle feed availability, fodder development, vaccination, and veterinary services
- Distributed subsidized fodder seeds to thousands of farmers under the National Livestock Mission

“Milk Producers Must Get Fair Prices” – Rajesh Krishna Birla
Special guest Rajesh Krishna Birla urged society chairpersons not to procure milk from private players, as it harms the cooperative system. He said the success of Saras Dairy lies in the hands of producers themselves.
OSD Rajiv Dutta assured all possible support, while BJP District President Rakesh Jain praised the progress achieved under Chairman Rathore’s leadership.
Progress Report & Budget Approved
Managing Director Dilkhush Meena presented detailed reports on dairy operations, achievements, and schemes.
The AGM approved:
- Revised budget 2024–25
- Budget estimates for 2025–26
- Previous AGM proceedings
- Profit–loss account, trading account, and auditor’s report
He informed that milk procurement is currently done at ₹850 per kg fat—the highest in the history of Kota Milk Union.
Under the Chief Minister Milk Producer Support Scheme, payments worth ₹5.34 crore were released between April and August 2025.
RCCDF representative Sudhanshu Gurjar was also present.
