Jaipur. Hawa Mahal MLA Swami Balmukundacharya Maharaj paid a courtesy visit to Director General of Police Rajeev Sharma and Additional Director General of Police (Personnel) Biju George Joseph, extending his best wishes on their new responsibilities.
During the meeting, the MLA raised a serious complaint regarding an incident that took place on Wednesday night in the Brahmpuri area involving some youths from a particular community, along with two police officers posted at the Police Headquarters who are residents of the Hawa Mahal constituency.
He alleged that these officers misused their official position and were involved in assaulting, misbehaving with, and threatening local traders and residents.
He further informed the DGP that continuous complaints have been received from local citizens regarding these officers’ repeated attempts to disturb communal harmony and misuse of authority.
Considering the gravity of the matter, Swami Balmukundacharya Maharaj demanded strict action against the guilty officers.
He also pointed out that the Hawa Mahal area falls under the highly sensitive category, and stressed the need for:
- Establishing a new police outpost,
- Strengthening overall law and order arrangements,
- Identifying and taking strict action against night-time troublemakers,
- Implementing special measures to ensure the safety of residents.
He asserted firmly that no one misusing the law or creating fear among the public will be spared under any circumstances.
