The Tourism Department of Rajasthan and the Hotel Federation of Rajasthan have signed an MOU for organizing a Travel Mart in Kota (Hadoti). The event will be held on January 2, 3 and 4, with the objective of promoting major tourist destinations of the Hadoti region at the national level.
Tour operators from across the country will participate in the Travel Mart. They will also be taken on a familiarization tour of key tourist attractions in the Hadoti division, including Mukundra Hills Tiger Reserve, Chambal Safari, Gardia Mahadev, Garh Ganesh, Chambal Garden, Seven Wonders, and several other heritage and natural sites. This initiative aims to enhance promotion and inspire increased tourist footfall in the region.
Tourism Commissioner Rukmani Riyar stated that “the government is making every possible effort to strengthen the tourism sector in Rajasthan. In the coming days, the government plans to organize Travel Marts not only in Udaipur and Jodhpur but also in other regions.”
Hotel Federation of Rajasthan President Hussain Khan and Division President Ashok Maheshwari expressed gratitude to Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma and Tourism Minister Diya Kumari, adding that the approval for organizing the Travel Mart was granted based on the Federation’s suggestions, considering the vast tourism potential of Kota and the Hadoti region.
Federation Patron Surendra Singh Sahpura said that the Travel Mart would prove to be a milestone in boosting wildlife, water sports, education, religious, wedding, event, and heritage tourism in the region.
Federation Secretary Ranvijay Singh highlighted that the Hadoti region — including Kota, Bundi, Baran, and Jhalawar — has numerous attractions with immense potential. Increased promotion will undoubtedly lead to a significant rise in tourist numbers, generating employment and strengthening the local economy.
The program was organized at Tourism Department’s Hotel Gangaur, which also helped promote the Tourism Unit of the department.
The event witnessed the presence of Additional Directors Anand Tripathi and Pawan Jain, Joint Director Dilip Singh, Deputy Director Upendra Singh, Mahendra Singh Rato, Ajmer Division President Praveen Singh, Bharatpur Division President Anupam Singh, Virendra Singh (FHtR), Tarun Bansal (HRAR), Yogendra Singh (FRTO), Rajendra Singh Panchar (FHtR), Daulat Singh (Guide Association), Dilip Tiwari (Jaipur Hotel Association), Kota Division Secretary Sandeep Pahadiya, Anil Mundra, Federation Treasurer Sandeep Gogia, Krishna Avatar, Subhash Sharma, Anshul Sarawgi, along with nearly 150 members.
