Jaipur. The two-day Amodini International Film Festival 2025, organized by the Dola Foundation in collaboration with the World Health and Wellness Festival, commenced in a grand manner on Saturday at Hotel Clarks Amer, JLN Marg. The international festival brings together cinema, art, culture, health, happiness and literature on a common platform, offering meaningful dialogue on the changing landscape of global cinema.
Festival Director Devjyoti Ray informed that a total of 16 selected international films from 10 countries are being screened over two days. Seven films were showcased on the opening day, while eight films will be screened on the second day. These films strongly reflect global social realities, human emotions and cultural diversity. Amodini Festival 2025 is not merely a celebration, but a thoughtful initiative connecting creativity, health and human happiness, emphasizing that a healthy and sensitive society is built through art, dialogue and cultural awareness.
The opening day witnessed the presence of several eminent personalities from cinema, music and performing arts. Prominent attendees included Aishwarya Rajinikanth, Hollywood debutant Neha Sharma, Bengali superstar Joy Sengupta, actress Chitrangada Singh, Hari Vishnu (co-producer of Baahubali and Ghajini), Raktima Mukherjee (playback singer), Geetanjali Acharya (Odissi dancer), Lubomir Jambada (Russian composer), Raahgir (singer), Jaya Bhattacharya, and many other renowned artists. Several of them were also honoured at the Amodini International Film Festival Awards Ceremony for their outstanding contributions to cinema, art and literature.
International films screened on Day One included:
Parkirama (Italian–Hindi–English), directed by Gautam Ghosh, starring Chitrangada Singh
Baksho Bondi (Bengali), directed by Tanushree Das, starring Tillotama Shome
Jagan (Hindi), directed by Sanjeev Dey, starring Subrat Dutta
A Pregnant Widow (Malayalam), directed by Unni K. R., starring Twinkle Joby
The Last Act (Iran), directed by Peyman Shahbod
He Man (Taiwan), directed by Chu Chung Tang
Neelo Aakash (Nepal), directed by Nirmal Paudyal
The festival also gave special emphasis to theatre and literature. A dedicated session reflected on the ideology and literary legacy of late Atal Bihari Vajpayee. Highlights included the powerful Hindi stage production “Maharathi”, directed by Abhishek Mudgal of the National School of Drama (NSD), and the literary session “Nation First – Atal Literature”, curated by Prof. Ramakant Pandey.
Under the “Sarve Santu Niramaya” platform, global discussions on health, wellness and mental well-being were conducted by international experts. Key sessions included topics on AI in global health frameworks, integrative healing through hypnosis and sound therapy, and the role of presence and happiness in achieving excellence. Experts from the UK, Luxembourg, the USA, Kenya and India actively participated in these dialogues.
With a strong blend of global cinema, performing arts, literature and wellness, Amodini International Film Festival 2025 marked an impactful and inspiring beginning, positioning Jaipur as a vibrant hub on the international cultural map.
