Jaipur:
Abhinav Verma has assumed charge as Executive Director (ED) of the Rajasthan Projects of Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (POWERGRID).
With over three decades of experience in the power sector, Mr. Verma brings extensive expertise in Engineering, Construction, Project Management, Asset Management, and HVDC technology. He completed his B.Tech in Electrical Engineering from IET Lucknow and earned a PGDM from the Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Rohtak.
During his career, he has played a key role in the successful execution of several major POWERGRID transmission projects across states including Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Gujarat, Goa, Delhi, Haryana, and Rajasthan. Earlier, he served in the Corporate Planning & Strategy Department at the Corporate Centre.
Under his leadership, major transmission projects in Rajasthan, particularly those related to Renewable Energy, are being executed efficiently, contributing significantly to the nation’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and energy transition.
