FHTR Constitutes New Managing Committee for 2026–28 Surendra Singh Shahpura Elected President

 


Jaipur, January 9, 2026:

The Federation of Hospitality and Tourism of Rajasthan (FHTR) successfully conducted its Annual General Meeting (AGM) on January 8, 2026, in Jaipur. During the meeting, the new Managing Committee for the tenure 2026–2028 was unanimously elected, ushering in a new phase of leadership for the organisation.

At the AGM, Mr. Surendra Singh Shahpura was elected as the President of FHTR, while Mr. Tarun Kumar Bansal was elected as the Secretary General. The election reflected the confidence and collective support of the members towards strengthening the organisation and the hospitality and tourism sector of Rajasthan.

Newly Elected Office Bearers (2026–28):

Senior Vice President: Mr. Rajendra Singh Pachaar

Vice Presidents: Mr. Gyan Prakash and Mr. Mahendra Singh Rathore

Treasurer: Mr. Rajendra Singh Jodha

Joint Secretary: Mr. Hemant Mittal

The AGM also reaffirmed the guiding role of FHTR Founder Member Mr. Bhim Singh, who will continue to serve the organisation as Honorary President (President Honour), providing strategic direction and mentorship.

The founding members—Mr. Kuldeep Singh Chandela, CA Virendra S. Shekhawat, Mr. Rishipal Singh, Mr. Khalid Khan, Mr. Sunil Gupta, Mr. Ajay Agrawal, Ms. Aditi Singh, and Mr. Angad Dev Mandawa—will continue to remain an integral part of the Managing Committee and contribute with their experience and vision to the growth of the federation.

Ms. Madhuvanti Singh was also present during the AGM.

After being elected President, Mr. Surendra Singh Shahpura expressed his gratitude to all members and said:

Together with the newly elected team, we are committed to strengthening Rajasthan’s hospitality and tourism industry through innovation, collaboration and positive engagement with all stakeholders. Our focus will be on inclusive growth, effective policy advocacy and positioning Rajasthan more strongly on the global tourism map.”

The newly formed Executive Committee reaffirmed its collective commitment to working as a unified and strong voice of the hospitality and tourism industry. The federation will continue to support government initiatives and actively promote Rajasthan’s rich cultural heritage and vast tourism potential at national and international platforms.

The Federation of Hospitality and Tourism of Rajasthan (FHTR) remains a unified voice of the state’s tourism and hospitality industry and will continue working closely with the government and all stakeholders to enhance Rajasthan’s position as a premier tourism destination worldwide.
