Jaipur to Get a New Platform for Rajasthani Films and Artists National Karni Sena Film Festival to be held on January 31; poster launched in Jaipur

 

Jaipur, January 29.

With the objective of taking Rajasthan’s rich art, culture and legacy of valour to the silver screen, the National Karni Sena has taken a significant initiative by organizing the National Karni Sena Film Festival Rajasthan. The poster of the festival was officially launched on Friday during a programme held at Jawahar Kala Kendra, Jaipur.

Speaking on the occasion, the organizers stated that efforts are being made with the support of the government and the private sector to provide a strong platform for Rajasthani cinema and artists. The festival poster was unveiled in the presence of several dignitaries.


Those present at the poster launch included Aniruddh Acharya, National President of National Karni Sena Shiv Singh Shekhawat, National Secretary Kuldeep Singh Bhadhwa, National Women President Laxmi Tanwar, National Secretary Narendra Sisodia, and representatives from Priyanka Events — Priyanka and Nitin Dubey.

The National Karni Sena Film Festival Rajasthan will be held on January 31 at Maan Palace, Gandhi Path, Jaipur, under the leadership of Shiv Singh Shekhawat. Artists associated with films, art, culture and folk traditions will be honoured during the event. Organizers said the festival aims to give a new direction to Rajasthan’s cultural identity.

Addressing the gathering, Shiv Singh Shekhawat said that the objective of Karni Sena is not limited to cinema alone, but also to promote theatre, folk dance, folk music, painting, literature and other cultural disciplines. He emphasized that continuous efforts will be made to take Rajasthan’s cultural heritage to national and international platforms.

He further stated that steps will be taken to promote the production of Rajasthani films, ensure priority for local artists, and facilitate access to film-related resources. For this purpose, support will be sought from the government, while private institutions and production houses will also be associated with the initiative.

Demand for priority to local artists

Shekhawat said that Karni Sena is committed to providing social and institutional support to artists of Rajasthan. An appeal will be made to the state government to give priority to local artists in regional, national and international events, films and cultural programmes.

Annual national-level platform

Speakers informed that a national-level event will be organized once every year to bring artists from across the state onto a single platform. This will help artists gain recognition, honour and new opportunities for collaboration. Discussions will also be held with the state government regarding special facilities for Padma award-winning artists.

Plan to connect youth with culture

Plans for training young artists were also announced. Speakers said that structured training and guidance programmes are being prepared to connect the younger generation with Rajasthani art, culture and history.
