Jaipur, January 22:
The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), in association with AU Small Finance Bank, is set to host the sixth edition of the CII–AU Invitation Golf Cup on January 24 at the prestigious Rambagh Golf Club, Jaipur. The tournament aims to bring together sports, industry, and governance while promoting fitness, camaraderie, and a healthy lifestyle.
The tournament will witness participation from more than 100 golfers from diverse backgrounds, including senior officials from the armed forces, railways, income tax department, bureaucracy, corporate sector, and sports fraternity. Notably, the event will also feature around 12 women golfers, reflecting increasing inclusivity in the sport.
Dignitaries to Grace the Event
Several prominent dignitaries are expected to participate in the tournament, including Lieutenant General Manjinder Singh, General Officer Commanding-in-Chief, South Western Army Command; Mr Amitabh, General Manager, North Western Railway; and Mr Avadhesh Kumar, Director, Income Tax (Investigation). A number of senior bureaucrats, industry leaders, and sportspersons will also be part of the event.
Tournament Format and Categories
Sharing details of the tournament, Former Chairman, CII Rajasthan, Mr Gaurav Rungta, said that the competition will be played in the Stableford format, ensuring greater participation and competitiveness across skill levels. The tournament will include multiple handicap categories such as Men, Women, Veterans, and 60+, along with several additional categories and fun activities to make the event more engaging and interactive for participants.
CII’s Vision and CSR Initiative
Vice Chairman, CII Rajasthan State Council, Mr Rajneesh Bhandari, highlighted the broader vision of CII, stating that the CII–AU Invitation Golf Cup is an initiative designed to bridge the gap between the corporate world and sports, while encouraging a culture of fitness and well-being. As part of CII’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) efforts, CII and AU Small Finance Bank will distribute special gifts and lunch boxes to all 175 caddies, acknowledging their contribution and promoting inclusive growth.

Addressing the gathering, Mr Saurabh Tambi, President, AU Small Finance Bank, emphasized that sports are not merely a co-curricular activity but play a vital role in shaping discipline, teamwork, leadership, and positive values. He added that supporting sporting initiatives is a shared responsibility of institutions and society, as sports contribute significantly to holistic development.
Rambagh Golf Club’s Commitment to Sports Development
Honorary Secretary, Rambagh Golf Club, Mr Samridh Sharma, expressed his pleasure over the continued collaboration between CII and Rambagh Golf Club. He remarked that sports play an important role in human development and serve as a strong foundation for positive change. He further informed that Rambagh Golf Club remains committed to nurturing emerging talent and is actively working towards establishing a Junior Golf Academy to promote the sport among young enthusiasts.

Also present on the occasion were Mr Nitin Gupta, Senior Director and Head, CII Rajasthan, and Mr Vishal Baid, Former Chairman, CII Rajasthan, who reiterated their support for initiatives that promote sportsmanship, networking, and social responsibility.
The CII–AU Invitation Golf Cup 2026 is expected to be a significant sporting and networking event in Jaipur’s social calendar, reinforcing the synergy between sports, industry, and social development.
