INAUGURAL CEREMONY OF BLITZSCHLAG 2026 AT MNIT JAIPUR

Blitzschlag’26, the three-day annual cultural festival of Malaviya National Institute of Technology (MNIT) Jaipur, was formally inaugurated on Thursday evening under the leadership of Prof. N. P. Padhy, Director, MNIT Jaipur. The inauguration marked the vibrant beginning of one of the region’s most anticipated student cultural festivals.


The opening ceremony began with lamp lighting followed by Ganesh Vandana. Prof. Kanupriya Sachdev, Dean Student Welfare, highlighted the importance of cultural platforms in ensuring the all-round development of students. Dr. Meenakshi Tripathi, Associate Dean (Cultural), presented an overview of Blitzschlag’26, outlining its vision, scale, and key highlights.



Addressing the gathering, Chief Guest Grammy Award winner and Padmabhushan awardee Pandit Vishwa Mohan Bhatt emphasized the significance of artistic expression and creativity among youth. He appreciated MNIT Jaipur for organizing festivals like Blitzschlag, which provide budding engineers, architects, and scientists an opportunity to nurture their artistic talents alongside academic pursuits, contributing to holistic personality development.


Presiding over the ceremony, Prof. N. P. Padhy described Blitzschlag as a dynamic platform that fosters creativity, collaboration, and innovation. He noted that such cultural engagements align with the objectives of the National Education Policy 2020 by supporting the development of a 360-degree personality among students.



The inauguration ceremony also featured the screening of the official Blitzschlag’26 film, vibrant cultural performances, and the felicitation of dignitaries.

Earlier in the day, a Cultural Parade organized by the National Service Scheme (NSS) at the VLTC Back Porch showcased India’s rich cultural diversity. This was followed by the “Pledge Wall” initiative, encouraging students to reaffirm their commitment to social responsibility. The first day concluded with a Bollywood-themed cultural gathering at the Front Porch, setting an energetic and festive tone for the days ahead.

Blitzschlag’26 will host more than 70 events, including competitions, workshops, and cultural showcases. The festival will also feature pro-night performances by Darshan Raval and Shalmali Kholgade, promising an exciting and memorable celebration of youth and culture at MNIT Jaipur.
