Jaipur, February 15

Experts emphasized the role of digital twin modeling and real-time data analytics in making mining operations safer, more efficient, and transparent. The occasion was the valedictory session of the three-day International Mining Seminar held at Hotel Clarks Amer in Jaipur, where Haribhau Kisanrao Bagde attended as the Chief Guest.

In his address, the Governor stated that the mining sector plays a vital role in achieving the goals of ‘Vision-2047’ and building a developed India. He called for the adoption of innovation, environmental protection, and responsible mining practices, emphasizing that balanced development and ecological conservation must be prioritized alongside the extraction of natural resources.

Two Key Technical Sessions Held

On the final day of the seminar, two important technical sessions were conducted. The first session was chaired by Dr. Pukhraj Nainiwal, while the second session was chaired by Dr. P.C. Bakliwal. Experts deliberated extensively on contemporary, strategic, and technical issues related to the mining sector.

Dr. Atul Gupta, International Coordinator of the All India Gaushala Cooperation Council, was also present at the event. He stressed the need to promote cow-based organic farming, natural agriculture, and rural economic development, urging the state government to introduce a “Rajasthan Organic State Mission” to make Rajasthan a fully organic state.

Emphasis on Mine Safety as Top Priority

During the sessions, experts shared practical insights on optimizing underground mining development works, enhancing production capacity, and controlling costs through modern methodologies. Technical presentations were delivered on topics such as bench stability, slope management, and risk assessment.

Speakers underlined that sustainable mining is not possible without prioritizing mine safety. They highlighted that scientific approaches, geochemical studies, and the effective use of modern technological tools are essential to minimize accidents and ensure safer workplaces.

Deliberations on Strategic Minerals and Energy Security

The seminar also featured in-depth discussions on the exploration, origin, and distribution of strategic and critical minerals, as well as their role in energy transition. Experts noted that scientific exploration and innovative discovery strategies are crucial for strengthening India’s energy self-reliance, meeting the demands of modern industries, and enhancing competitiveness in global supply chains.

Highlighting the role of geology in mining safety, speakers emphasized that safe and responsible mining cannot be achieved without technological innovation and scientific research.

Coordinated Development Key to Responsible Mining

In the concluding session, Dr. Manoj Kumar Gaur presented a synthesis of the discussions held over the three days, describing the seminar as a significant initiative toward the technological, policy, and environmental transformation of the mining sector.
