Initiative to Break Social Myths Around Brain Tumors Narayana Hospital Jaipur Organizes Press Conference

Jaipur. With the objective of dispelling social myths and fear surrounding brain tumors, Narayana Hospital Jaipur organized a special press conference in the city. The event was attended by 20–25 patients who had undergone brain tumor surgery nearly four to five years ago. They shared their post-surgery journeys, challenges, and experiences of returning to normal life.

The primary aim of the program was to convey that with timely diagnosis, expert treatment, and proper rehabilitation, brain tumor patients can lead full and active lives.

Senior Consultant Neurosurgery Dr. K.K. Bansal stated that the mere mention of a brain tumor often creates panic among patients and their families. However, with advancements in modern neurosurgery, advanced imaging, and precise surgical techniques, treatment outcomes have significantly improved. In most cases, timely surgery enables patients to resume a normal lifestyle.

Facility Director Dr. Dalveer Singh Balia emphasized that lack of awareness and open dialogue about serious illnesses often prevents patients from seeking treatment at the right time. He added that the hospital’s mission goes beyond treatment — it also aims to build awareness and trust within society.

Clinical Director Dr. Pradeep Goyal highlighted that a multidisciplinary approach, advanced technology, and an experienced medical team have led to notable success in brain tumor treatment. He stressed that post-surgery monitoring, rehabilitation, and regular follow-ups are just as important as the surgery itself.

Doctors further explained that common symptoms of brain tumors may include persistent headaches, vomiting, seizures, and changes in vision or behavior. They advised that such symptoms should not be ignored and warrant immediate neurological evaluation.

Through this press conference, the hospital delivered a clear message: brain tumors are not a social stigma. With accurate information, timely intervention, and modern medical care, patients can successfully return to healthy and productive lives.
