Abu Dhabi, UAE / Jaipur, India — A grand cultural programme celebrating the art, music and traditions of Rajasthan will be held on Sunday, 8 February 2026 at the iconic BAPS Hindu Mandir in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. The event is being organised by the Rajasthan Pravasi Foundation to bring the vibrant Rajasthani heritage to audiences abroad and engage the diaspora with their cultural roots.
According to the Foundation’s founder, Jan Singh Pilwa, the showcase will feature performances by distinguished folk artists from Rajasthan, presenting traditional folk music, dance and cultural art forms that reflect the state’s artistic legacy.
The programme is expected to draw sizeable participation from Rajasthani expatriates and cultural enthusiasts living in the UAE and surrounding regions. Foundation patron Mahant Shri Pratap Puri emphasised that the main aim is to create a meaningful cultural platform for Rajasthanis abroad, fostering community bonds and mutual support.
In addition to cultural performances, organisers note the Foundation’s ongoing ‘Pravasi Crisis Support Plan’, under which financial and other aid has been provided to migrants in distress. The initiative has reportedly delivered assistance worth several lakh rupees to those in need so far
The Rajasthan Pravasi Foundation has also set ambitious goals for environmental and social outreach, including a plan to plant over 20,000 trees, with several plantation drives already conducted across different regions.
The organisation has previously hosted social and cultural events in major Indian cities such as Mumbai, Pune and Jodhpur, strengthening its mission to promote Rajasthan’s cultural identity on an international stage and enhance cooperation among global communities.
Preparations for the Abu Dhabi programme have already been completed, with Foundation volunteers and partners working over the past two months to ensure a successful event.
