Jaipur, 2nd February 2026:
Under the aegis of the Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas, the oil industry today launched the “SAKSHAM-2026” mass awareness campaign in Jaipur. The initiative aims to promote the conservation of petroleum products and encourage efficient use of energy. The campaign will run from 1st to 15th February 2026, involving oil companies, dealers, distributors, government networks, NGOs, and the general public.

The inauguration ceremony was held at Totuka Sabhagar, Jain Nasiyan, Narayan Singh Circle, Jaipur. The event was graced by the Chief Guest Shri Janardan Kumar, Deputy Chief Controller of Explosives. This year, the campaign’s theme is – “Conserve Oil & Gas, Go Green.”
Shri Manoj Kumar Gupta, State Level Coordinator (Oil Industry) and Executive Director & State Head, IOCL Rajasthan, addressed the gathering, urging the public, especially children, to use energy efficiently and play a key role in petroleum conservation for a brighter future.
The Chief Guest released balloons carrying slogans and messages on oil and gas conservation and flagged off a rally of school children carrying conservation messages. Shri Sanjay Chauhan, CGM GAIL Rajasthan, delivered the keynote address, highlighting the importance of energy conservation and initiatives by oil companies to promote environmental cleanliness.
Shri Gaurav Sharma, Deputy General Manager, BPCL, administered the SAKSHAM-2026 pledge, which was taken by all guests and school children. The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Shri K P Satheesh Kumar, Chief General Manager, HPCL, marking the successful launch of the campaign.
The SAKSHAM-2026 campaign aims to spread awareness about energy efficiency and petroleum conservation, encouraging all sections of society to adopt sustainable and eco-friendly practices.
