Shankara Group of Institutions Hosts Grand Inauguration of ‘National Youth Festival’ A Confluence of Sports, Culture and Literature Showcases a ‘Mini India’

 


Jaipur (Kukas), February 24, 2026:

The campus of Shankara Group of Institutions on the Jaipur–Delhi Highway witnessed a vibrant inauguration of the ‘National Youth Festival’ on Tuesday. Dedicated to the spirit of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam (the world is one family), the festival presents a rich confluence of sports, culture, and literature.

The event was formally inaugurated by hoisting the flag by Prof. Madan Mohan Jha, Vice-Chancellor of Jagadguru Ramanandacharya Rajasthan Sanskrit University, who declared open 37 different competitions.

Education Beyond Textbooks: Prof. Jha

Addressing the inaugural session, Prof. Jha emphasized the relevance of the National Education Policy (NEP), stating that education is not merely about earning degrees but about holistic personality development. He highlighted that sports, culture, and literature play a crucial role in nurturing confidence, discipline, and leadership qualities among students.



Quoting “Udaracharitanam Tu Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam,” he urged youth to rise above narrow perspectives and embrace the world as one family..



A ‘Mini India’ on Campus: Dr. Sant Kumar Chaudhary

Chairman Dr. Sant Kumar Chaudhary described the festival as a ‘Mini India.’ He said,






“When youth from North to South and East to West gather on one platform, it becomes more than a sports event—it transforms into a celebration of national unity. Our aim is to develop technical professionals who remain deeply connected to their cultural roots and values.”


He further noted that discipline, teamwork, and leadership learned on the sports field lay a strong foundation for professional success.

Unity in Diversity

Teams from various states including Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, Haryana, Punjab, Gujarat, and several South Indian states are participating in the festival. A total of 37 competitions are being conducted, covering athletics, cultural performances, music, dance, drama, and literary debates.






As the Guest of Honour, Ranjit Kumar, Regional Head of Union Bank of India, guided students on financial literacy, banking awareness, and corporate discipline.

Celebration with a Purpose

The entire campus was adorned in the colors of the tricolour and reflected India’s cultural diversity. Participants showcased their traditional attire and vibrant performances, adding to the grandeur of the occasion.







The primary objective of the festival is to inspire youth toward the vision of a developed India while providing them with a common platform to exhibit their talents. The enthusiastic participation on the very first day set the tone for an energetic and memorable celebration in the days ahead.
