Jaipur: The first day of Renaissance 2026 at JECRC Foundation began with great enthusiasm and energy, marked by a grand inaugural ceremony at 9:00 AM in A-Block. The campus transformed into a vibrant hub of culture, creativity, and innovation.
This year’s theme, “Desi Pop,” beautifully blended traditional Indian culture with modern indie pop energy. The inauguration featured a mesmerizing Kalbelia folk dance performance showcasing Rajasthan’s rich heritage, while the energetic performance by Bullets Band brought contemporary indie vibes to the stage. The beats of drums and the spirited participation of students created a lively and festive atmosphere.
Showcasing Cultural Heritage
Several cultural workshops were organized on the first day, drawing enthusiastic participation from students:
Molela Terracotta Workshop: Lalit Ji shared insights into the traditional clay art of Rajasthan.
Rajasthani Turban Session: Mohammad Shakeel Ji highlighted the legacy and techniques passed down through generations.
Ravanhatta Performance: Mohan Ji, Pawan Ji, and Ramji Lal Ji captivated the audience with soulful folk music and shared experiences of international performances.
Phad Painting Session: The life stories of Pabuji Rathore and Devnarayan Ji were depicted through traditional art.
Puppet Making Workshop: Manoj Ji demonstrated his ancestral craft and spoke about his shows abroad.
These sessions turned the campus into a living celebration of Rajasthan’s cultural richness.
Technological Innovation on Display
The college’s IEEE Club organized the IEEE National Project Exhibition, featuring innovative hardware and software projects from teams across different states, including Ludhiana and Madhya Pradesh.
Atrangi Chowk: Creativity in Action
A three-day Atrangi Chowk was also inaugurated, curated by the Atrangi Club members. They displayed and sold handmade items including keychains, fridge magnets, bookmarks, earrings, and bracelets. The colorful and artistic creations became a major attraction for students and visitors alike.
Competitions and Activities
The day featured a wide range of competitions and activities including:
Situational Cue, Film Flick, Beat the Beats, 3-D Mania, Techprobe, Sprint, Programmers’ Playground, Gully Cricket, Stage Play, Tug of War, Chess, LAN Gaming, Robo War, and the National Project Expo.
Film Flick showcased creative short films by students.
Robo War displayed thrilling battles of robotics and strategy.
Programmers’ Playground and LAN Gaming created intense competition among tech enthusiasts.
Sports events like Sprint, Gully Cricket, Tug of War, and Chess promoted team spirit and sportsmanship.
Stage Play delivered powerful performances filled with expression and drama.
The music competition Rockathon was judged by renowned singers Jayesh Sharma and Aryan Sharma, while DJ War saw electrifying energy with DJ R.I.B as the judge.
Overall, the first day of Renaissance 2026 was a spectacular blend of culture, innovation, sports, and creativity, making it a memorable and inspiring experience for everyone present.
