Jaipur: The “Gau Hamari Mata Hai, Humko Kuch Nahi Aata Hai” Phagotsav 2026 was organized with religious fervor and social awareness at Gau Nandi Dham on Tonk Road under the aegis of Sambal Samarth Society. The event conveyed a strong message of cow protection, environmental conservation, and social responsibility.
During the program, construction work for the state’s first such gaushala was inaugurated. The initiative aims to provide shelter to abandoned and stray bulls (Nandi), protect cattle from consuming plastic and waste on roads, and promote environmental balance. Organizers stated that the gaushala would serve not only as a center for animal care but also as a hub for social awareness.
A large number of devotees, ग्रामीण residents, and local citizens participated in the समारोह. The event began with traditional Phag singing, creating a devotional atmosphere. Devotees later celebrated Holi with flowers before Thakur Ji, spreading the message of love and harmony. A poetry gathering, traditional folk performances, Holi with organic colors, and distribution of garlands made from cow dung were among the key attractions. Poets and Rajasthani artists enthralled the audience with vibrant cultural performances.
On the occasion, Rajasthan Cabinet Minister Jawahar Singh Bedham and International Convenor of Gau Seva Samiti Dr. Atul Gupta were present along with several dignitaries. Dr. Gupta remarked that Holi is not just a festival of colors but also an opportunity to embrace positive change and take new resolutions. He urged people to make cow protection, environmental safety, and social service an integral part of their lives.
Prasad and refreshments were arranged for devotees at the conclusion of the event. The successful organization of the program was supported by members of the society, including Rahul Kamwar, Sumit Kandoi, Arvind Verma, Ram Chaudhary, and Ashok Saini.
