Jaipur, April 14:
At just 16, Jaipur-based Avyana Mehta is making a remarkable mark as an author, social entrepreneur, and environmental advocate. She is the founder of Plastic2Build, a youth-led international non-profit operating across 17+ locations, which has successfully repurposed over 3,000 kg of plastic and engaged more than 150 volunteers.
Her debut book ‘The Effort’ captures inspiring stories of sustainable businesses and NGOs through conversations with CEOs and changemakers, highlighting innovative approaches to environmental responsibility.
Expanding her initiatives, Avyana hosts the ‘Sustainify360’ podcast, leads ‘Plas-stick’, a research project focused on developing tamarind-based filters to remove microplastics from water, and runs ‘GreenLink’, a sustainability consultancy that helps organizations transition to eco-friendly alternatives.
A Trinity-certified opera and violin performer, she seamlessly blends creativity with purpose, representing a new generation of climate-conscious leaders.
Notably, she was among the youngest speakers at the Jaipur Literature Festival
