Alleged Honeytrap Case in Jaipur: ₹50 Lakh Extortion Demand Accused Disha booked for blackmail and threats

An alleged honeytrap and extortion case has surfaced in Jaipur’s Mahesh Nagar police station area. According to a police complaint, a 24-year-old woman identified as Disha has been accused of demanding ₹50 lakh from a man and issuing threats.

The complainant, Vimal Daga (42), a resident of Mahesh Nagar, alleged that Disha initially befriended him and gained his trust before allegedly resorting to blackmail. He claimed that she threatened to defame him at public events and damage his reputation through social media.



The complainant further alleged that the accused reached his residence and issued threats to harm his family members.

Alleged use of social media for pressure

The complaint states that the accused used platforms like Instagram and LinkedIn to allegedly threaten the victim with sharing objectionable content. The complainant claims she is using certain private videos to exert mental pressure and demand money.




The complainant, Vimal, has also alleged that a case related to extortion of ₹9 million (90 lakh) against the concerned woman is already pending before the court. He further claimed that the woman has a criminal background and that cases have been registered against her in the past. At present, the police are also investigating this aspect as part of their inquiry.

Police begin investigation

Police have registered a case and initiated an investigation. Officials stated that further action will be taken after verifying all facts.
