As part of the Hanuman Mahotsav, a 12-foot tall idol of Lord Hanuman will be installed at Badi Chaupar on April 2 and 3, which will be a major attraction. The procession will feature a gold-adorned chariot carrying Hanuman for a city tour.
Electronic tableaux will be a key highlight of the procession, depicting scenes such as 12-foot tall Hanuman, Lord Ram with a bow, Ram offering water to Lord Shiva, flying Hanuman, Valmiki with Luv-Kush, and Lord Ganesha circumambulating Shiva-Parvati, among others.
In addition, chariots representing Neem Karoli Baba, Salasar Balaji, Khole Ke Hanuman, Ghat Ke Balaji, Harisingh Bhomiya Ji, Peepalda Hanuman and Chintaharan Hanuman, along with other ancient Hanuman temples of Jaipur, will be part of the procession. A total of 35 chariots will be a major attraction for the public.
This year, along with men, a large number of women will also participate in the procession. The city will be decorated with saffron flags and balloons at various places.
The procession route will begin from Ramlila Maidan and pass through Sanganeri Gate, Johari Bazaar, Badi Chaupar, Tripolia Bazaar, Chhoti Chaupar, Kishanpole Bazaar, Indira Bazaar, Khazane Walon Ka Rasta, and will conclude at the Hanuman Temple near Chandpole Gate. The Jaipur royal family will welcome the procession at Tripolia Gate.
