Gau Samman Diwas: Memorandums Submitted Across 5,410 Tehsils Nationwide Religious procession on Sikar Road draws large participation under saints’ guidance

Jaipur, April 27:

Gau Samman Diwas was observed across the country on Monday to promote cow protection, conservation, and respect. On this occasion, memorandums were submitted in 5,410 tehsils nationwide to the President, Prime Minister, Governors, and Chief Ministers through Tehsildars and SDMs. People also participated in the campaign by giving missed calls as part of a nationwide outreach.

In Jaipur district, despite the scorching heat, thousands participated in events organized at various locations. A grand procession began from Siyaramdas Ji Ki Bagichi on Sikar Road after performing rituals for cow worship. The procession culminated in a सभा at Adarsh Vidya Mandir in Ambawadi.

The procession was held under the guidance of saints, with prominent participation from Sant Prakashdas Ji Maharaj, Mahamandaleshwar Ramsevak Das Maharaj, Mahant Harishankardas Vedanti, Sant Ramratan Das Maharaj, Gau devotee Tarachand Kothari, and Rahul Dwivedi, President of Nature Welfare Council (India), among others. Youths, women, and cow devotees joined in large numbers, raising slogans such as “Give Mother Cow the status of National Mother” and “Ban cow slaughter.”

At the venue, devotional songs and discourses by saints were organized. Due to Mohini Ekadashi, several saints and devotees observed fasts and attended the program without food and water. A delegation of saints submitted the memorandum to the Sub-Divisional Officer.

Effective coordination keeps Collectorate area traffic-free

Better coordination between cow welfare organizations, saints, and the administration ensured smooth crowd management. Considering the expected turnout, the venue was shifted from the Collectorate to Adarsh Vidya Mandir. Officials reached the venue to accept the memorandums, preventing traffic congestion in the Collectorate area. Similar programs were held in Amer, Sanganer, Kalwar, and other tehsils.

Key demands in the memorandum

The memorandum demanded granting “National Mother” status to cows, enforcing a strict nationwide ban on cow slaughter, establishing cow sanctuaries in all states, and ensuring effective arrangements for the protection of stray cattle.

Statue Circle illuminated with 5,411 lamps

In the evening, 5,411 cow-dung-based ghee lamps were lit at Statue Circle, illuminating the entire परिसर. Participants reaffirmed their commitment to cow protection.

Awaiting response till July 10

Gau devotee Tarachand Kothari stated that they expect a positive response from the government by July 10, 2026. If the demands are met, a धन्यवाद memorandum will be submitted on July 27; otherwise, fresh memorandums will again be submitted at district headquarters across the country.
