Jaipur, April 16:

For the first time, the city will host the unique ‘Jaipur Chai Festival’, scheduled to be held on April 27 and 28 at the Rajasthan International Centre (RIC). The two-day festival will bring together tea, coffee, and food startups from across the country.

The announcement was made during a press conference held at Tea Post Cafe by Founder Director Mona Sharma and organizer Shashank Verma. On this occasion, former Mayor of Jaipur Greater Saumya Gurjar unveiled the festival trophy.

The festival will feature a Chai Kavi Sammelan (poetry meet) as its main attraction, themed ‘Chai and Emotion’. Other highlights include panel discussions, chai rap battle, fashion show, and an award ceremony. A special attempt will be made to prepare 50 varieties of tea under one roof, along with an exhibition showcasing paintings and Assam tea gardens.

Visitors will experience live tea-making sessions, a high-tea competition, and talk shows covering topics such as Chai vs Coffee, Chai & Politics, Social Media Branding, and Café Culture. Experts will also share insights on tea preparation, serving techniques, and startup growth strategies.

Founder Mona Sharma stated that more than 200 startups from across India will participate, sharing their success stories and offering business insights to young entrepreneurs.

Organizer Shashank Verma added that renowned Rajasthan-based tea brands like Sahu Chai, Tapri, Gulab Ji Chai, Namo Tandoori, Samrat, Chai Leela along with several emerging brands will be part of the festival, showcasing both traditional and modern business models.
