Tributes paid to Brigadier Maharaja Bhawani Singh at Nahargarh Fort

 


Jaipur, April 16, 2026. At Nahargarh Fort, tourists and local visitors paid floral tributes to the wax statue of Brigadier Maharaja Bhawani Singh at the Jaipur Wax Museum on his death anniversary.

Founder of the museum, Anoop Srivastava, said that Brigadier Bhawani Singh was not only the Maharaja of Jaipur but also a true national hero. He highlighted that his bravery in the Indo-Pakistani War of 1971 continues to inspire the youth.

He further informed that the wax statue was unveiled on October 22 by Rajasthan Deputy Chief Minister Diya Kumari, who is also the daughter of Bhawani Singh. The museum now plans to organize special tribute events every year on his birth and death anniversaries to connect the younger generation with his legacy.

On the occasion, hundreds of tourists offered marigold garlands to the statue and paid their respects. Many visitors also clicked photographs and remembered his contribution to the nation.

Brigadier Maharaja Bhawani Singh was a hero of the Bangladesh Liberation War and was awarded the Maha Vir Chakra. He was the last Maharaja of Jaipur and commanded the 10 Para (Special Forces), playing a crucial role in the war.
