Jaipur to Host Grand ‘Haldighati Vijayollas’ Celebration on Maharana Pratap Jayanti

 



Jaipur: A grand “Haldighati Vijayollas” celebration will be organized by the Maharana Pratap Foundation on June 17 at Vidyadhar Auditorium, Jaipur, to commemorate the birth anniversary of the legendary warrior and symbol of courage, self-respect, sacrifice, and patriotism, Maharana Pratap. Union Minister for Culture and Tourism Gajendra Singh Shekhawat will attend the event as the Chief Guest, along with several prominent political leaders and dignitaries.

Addressing a press conference, event coordinator Prem Singh Banwata said that the Foundation has been working for years to promote the glorious legacy, bravery, and ideals of Maharana Pratap among the masses. He emphasized that the objective is not merely to remember history but to inspire the younger generation with values of patriotism, self-respect, sacrifice, courage, and cultural pride.

Banwata described Maharana Pratap as one of India's greatest heroes, who endured immense hardships throughout his life but never compromised on his self-respect or the honor of his motherland. His life continues to inspire youth to face challenges with determination, courage, and unwavering commitment to national interest.

The event will be attended by Deputy Chief Minister Dr. Prem Chand Bairwa, Jaipur Rural MP Rao Rajendra Singh, Jaipur MP Manju Sharma, former minister and former MP Dr. Mahesh Joshi, Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore, MLAs Gopal Sharma, Balmukund Acharya, Mahendrapal Meena, and several other distinguished guests.

Marking the 450th anniversary of the Battle of Haldighati, this year’s celebration has been designed on a larger scale. A special documentary showcasing Maharana Pratap’s life, struggles, valor, and sacrifices will be screened during the event, highlighting his unwavering dedication to the nation.

The program will also feature renowned Veer Ras poets, who will recite inspirational poems celebrating Maharana Pratap’s heroism, patriotism, and indomitable spirit. A talented young girl will present a special tribute song dedicated to Maharana Pratap, while cultural performances depicting significant episodes from his life will add to the grandeur of the event.

The Maharana Pratap Foundation stated that through seminars, lectures, youth competitions, and cultural activities, it continues to spread awareness about Maharana Pratap’s ideals. The upcoming celebration is being seen as an important initiative to connect the younger generation with India’s rich historical heritage and values.

The Foundation has appealed to citizens from Jaipur and across Rajasthan to participate in large numbers, pay tribute to the legendary warrior, and contribute to the success and dignity of the event.
