Jaipur: Biyani Girls College organised a media press conference on “Japan Connect” as part of the BICON 2026 International Conference. The initiative aimed to familiarise students with opportunities for higher education, skill development, training and employment in Japan, while providing a structured pathway from education in India to career opportunities in Japan.
The initiative seeks to offer students an international education and career option beyond traditional competitive examinations such as IIT-JEE and NEET. The 21st edition of BICON focuses on strengthening cooperation between India and Japan in the areas of education, technology, skill development, cultural exchange and employment.
MOU Signed with Osaka Convention & Tourism Bureau
A major highlight of the event was the MOU signing ceremony between the Osaka Convention & Tourism Bureau (OCTB), Japan, and Biyani Girls College. The agreement aims to promote academic, cultural and international collaboration between the two institutions and create new opportunities for students in education, training and global exposure.
Three-Year OCTB-Biyani T2C Programme
The OCTB-Biyani T2C (Training to Career) Joint Education and Job Programme is a three-year programme. In the first year, students will study and undergo training at Biyani University in India, while the second and third years will provide opportunities for study, practical training and career preparation in Osaka, Japan.
The first year will focus on foundation studies, professional subjects, Japanese language, practical skills and preparation for moving to Japan. The second year will focus on advanced Japanese language, professional education and career education in Osaka. The third year will concentrate on job preparation, graduation and career opportunities.
Part-Time Work Opportunities in Japan
The press conference also highlighted potential part-time work opportunities for eligible students while pursuing their studies in Japan. Potential sectors discussed included tourism, hotels, restaurants, airport and service sectors, retail, customer service, guest services and duty-free shops.
The programme aims to provide students with global exposure, Japanese language skills, practical training and an understanding of higher education and career opportunities in Japan.
Direct Interaction with Media
The “Japan Connect” press conference provided media representatives an opportunity to interact directly with Japanese delegates and representatives of Biyani. Information was shared on higher education, Japanese language, training, employment opportunities and career pathways in Japan.
With the vision of “Start in India, Study in Japan, Build a Global Career,” the Japan Connect initiative seeks to create an educational and career bridge connecting students from Biyani to Osaka through education, skill development, international exposure and employment opportunities.
