Jaipur, October 7: Mahatma Jyoti Rao Phule University, Jaipur, hosted the grand opening of ‘Youth Vibrance 2026 – Fresher Vibes’ on Wednesday at its MJRP Sodala Campus. The event was organised to welcome new students and featured vibrant performances blending fashion, music and entertainment.
The event began with the ‘Fresher Vibes – Fashion Walk’, where students showcased their style, confidence and creativity on the ramp in attractive outfits. Their performances received an enthusiastic response from the audience, with the campus echoing with applause.
Kriti Sharma’s Musical Performance Mesmerises Audience
The fashion walk was followed by ‘Rooh-E-Mausiqi – Musical Programme’, featuring Sa Re Ga Ma Pa fame singer Kriti Sharma. Her soulful singing captivated students and guests, who were seen enjoying the performances and singing along to the music.
On the occasion, Kriti Sharma was honoured with the university’s prestigious ‘Rooh-E-Mausiqi Award’ for her contribution to the field of music. The university has been conferring the award for the past 10 years on artists who have made notable contributions to music.
This year, Kriti Sharma received the award from university Chairperson Nirmal Panwar. After receiving the honour, Sharma expressed her gratitude to the university.
Students Groove to DJ Beats
The celebrations continued with a high-energy performance by DJ Sync Audiobat. Students danced enthusiastically to the DJ beats, adding to the vibrant atmosphere of the Fresher Vibes celebration. The students also captured memorable moments of the event on their cameras
Chairperson Nirmal Panwar Encourages Students
Addressing the students, university Chairperson Nirmal Panwar said that ‘Youth Vibrance 2026’ was not merely an entertainment programme, but a platform to showcase the talent, confidence and creativity of young people.
He said the university aims to provide students with quality education along with ample opportunities to develop their talents and achieve their goals. Encouraging the students, he said that dreaming is essential for success, but turning those dreams into reality requires consistent hard work, discipline and a positive attitude.
Panwar urged the students to channel their energy in the right direction and treat every opportunity as a chance to learn and move forward. He extended his best wishes to the students and encouraged them to bring pride to their university and families through their talent and achievements.
According to the university administration, ‘Youth Vibrance 2026’ aims to familiarise new students with the university’s academic and cultural environment while providing them with a platform to showcase their talents. The event also seeks to promote interaction, confidence and a positive atmosphere among students.
