Jaipur Art Week 5.0 A Grand Citywide Celebration of Contemporary Art

Jaipur, December 20.

Set against the vibrant cultural backdrop of Jaipur, the Public Arts Trust of India (PATI) has announced the fifth edition of Jaipur Art Week (JAW) 5.0, scheduled to be held from January 27 to February 3, 2026, across prominent locations in the city. Conceived by Sana Rizwan, Founder Chairperson of PATI and a renowned arts entrepreneur, Jaipur Art Week continues to bridge the city’s rich heritage with contemporary artistic practices, firmly positioning Jaipur on the international art map

Since its inception, Jaipur Art Week has emerged as a powerful platform for emerging and mid-career artists, offering opportunities for experimentation, dialogue, and wider public engagement. With an artist-first approach, the festival is organized through an international open call, attracting participation from artists across India and abroad, while remaining deeply connected to Rajasthan’s culture and public spaces.

A Strong Artist-Centric Vision

The fifth edition of Jaipur Art Week further strengthens its commitment to placing artists at the center of the festival. The international open call for 2026 received over 450 applications, while more than 600 artists were supported through free proposal-writing workshops conducted by PATI. This edition will feature the participation of over 100 artists across multiple venues in Jaipur, including more than 15 solo art presentations along with a PATI group exhibition.

The final selection of artists was made by a distinguished international jury, comprising Anita Dube, Renu Modi, Wood & Harrison, Andrea Mellaif, and Sana Rizwan. Selected artists also received mentorship from senior practitioners such as Vibha Galhotra, Gigi Scaria, Thukral & Tagra, and Shuddhabrata Sengupta, enabling them to transform their concepts into impactful artistic presentations.

In addition, a specially curated group exhibition by PATI’s in-house curatorial team will showcase emerging artists who were selected through the open call but are not part of the solo presentations, ensuring broader visibility and inclusion.

With its citywide presence, strong curatorial vision, and unwavering focus on artists, Jaipur Art Week 5.0 promises to be a dynamic celebration of contemporary art, dialogue, and public engagement, transforming Jaipur into a vibrant cultural canvas in early 2026.
