The Inter-College Hockey Championships for Men and Women, organized by the Department of Physical Education, University of Rajasthan, concluded successfully today on December 13, 2025, with the semifinal and final matches. Displaying excellent performance, Parishkar College emerged as the champion in the men’s category, while Bhawani Niketan T.T. College clinched the title in the women’s category.
In the women’s semifinals, the University Teaching Department (UTD) team defeated Subodh Women’s College 3–2 in a penalty shootout to secure a place in the final. In the second semifinal, Bhawani Niketan T.T. College registered a convincing 3–0 victory over Bhawani Niketan Women’s College to enter the final. In the final match, Bhawani Niketan T.T. College showcased an impressive performance and defeated UTD 3–0 to become the women’s champions.
In the men’s category, the semifinal match between Parishkar College and Ratan Devi College, Dodsar witnessed an intense contest, with Parishkar College winning 2–1 to advance to the final. The final proved to be highly thrilling, where Parishkar College secured the men’s title by winning 3–1 in a penalty shootout.
A large number of spectators were present during the final matches, enthusiastically cheering for the players. The prize distribution ceremony was conducted by Prof. Sarina Kalia, Head of the Department. The competition Observer, Dr. Pratibha Singh Ratanu, presented a detailed report on the event.
On this occasion, Pavitra Vishnoi, Pinku Singh, Bharti Chauhan, Rajesh Chaudhary, Akhil Shukla, Jai Singh, Gaurav Mehta, former Rajasthan University captain Mahesh Kanawat, Yashpal, Praveen Kumar, along with several former players and sports enthusiasts, were present.
The successful organization of the championship provided a strong platform for promoting hockey at the university level and offered players an excellent opportunity to showcase their talent.
