West Zone Olympic Table Tennis (Men) Tournament at MJRPU Enters Intense Knockout Stage

 



Jaipur, December 17:
The five-day West Zone Olympic Table Tennis (Men) Tournament is being held at the sports complex of Mahatma Jyoti Rao Phoole University (MJRPU), Achrol. On the third day of the tournament, Wednesday, various knockout round matches were played, where players displayed intense competition to secure their place in the quarterfinals.

Players showcased remarkable determination, skill, and sportsmanship, delivering thrilling encounters that kept spectators engaged. The fast-paced rallies saw players testing each other’s agility and technique with powerful shots across the net using precise racket control.

While several teams delivered outstanding performances and asserted their dominance to move closer to the quarterfinals, others were eliminated from the race. Players from different states across the country showed great enthusiasm and competitive spirit throughout the matches.

The quarterfinal and semifinal matches will be played on Thursday, promising high-voltage clashes among the top contenders.

University Chairman Mr. Nirmal Panwar stated that the tournament provides an excellent platform for talented players to showcase their sporting skills at a regional level. He informed that the final match will be held on December 19, followed by the closing ceremony, where trophies and medals will be awarded to the winners and runners-up.

The tournament features participation from over 500 players representing more than 100 universities from five states—Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Goa, and Maharashtra, making it one of the major sporting events in the region.
