National Mining Seminar Brings Together Global Experts on One Platform Special deliberations on ‘Vision-2047’ highlight future roadmap for India’s mining sector

 


Jaipur, February 13.

Experts from India and abroad came together on a single platform at the National Mining Seminar held in Jaipur, sharing insights and emerging trends shaping the future of the mining sector. The conference proved particularly significant for young professionals and students, as industry leaders addressed queries and interacted with the next generation of mining engineers.

The seminar was inaugurated by MLA Gopal Sharma at Hotel Clarks Amer at 6 PM. The international seminar titled “Vision-2047: Mining & Minerals”, organized by the Jaipur Chapter of the Mining Engineers’ Association of India (MEAI), will continue until February 15.

The deliberations focused on strategies to transform India’s mining sector into a technology-enabled, self-reliant, and sustainable industry by the year 2047. Key themes included innovation, digital transformation, and long-term resource security.



Lalit Mohan Soni, Chairman of the MEAI Jaipur Chapter, informed that prominent dignitaries present at the inaugural session included D.B. Sundar Raman, National President; Dhananjay Reddy; Dr. Pukhraj Nainiwal; and Rachappa Saradagi. Dr. Vivek Lol, Secretary of the Jaipur Chapter, delivered the welcome address and greeted the delegates.

Participation from International Experts

The seminar witnessed participation from experts across India as well as countries including Australia, North America, Canada, and Africa. Mining specialists, scientists, policymakers, industry representatives, and academicians engaged in discussions on critical sectoral issues.

Key sessions covered digital transformation, smart mining, artificial intelligence, machine learning, drone and robotics applications, sustainable and net-zero mining, critical minerals, energy security, modern exploration technologies, ESG compliance, and occupational health and safety. These discussions aimed at strengthening India’s position as a global leader in mining and minerals.

The first day of the seminar also marked the Chapter Foundation Day, celebrated in the presence of office bearers and members.

Rajasthan’s Culture Showcased

Following the technical sessions and inauguration, the evening featured a vibrant cultural program reflecting Rajasthan’s rich heritage. Traditional folk dance and music performances captivated both national and international guests, adding a colorful cultural dimension to the global gathering.
