Hon’ble Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan formally launched India’s first Live-Tracking, GPS-Enabled, Rate-Controlled Precision Sprayer at the prestigious National Institute of Agricultural Marketing (NIAM), Jaipur. The historic launch ceremony was attended by leading agricultural experts, senior officials, and industry representatives from across the country.
The machine, branded as the “Charlie Precision Sprayer,” has been designed and manufactured by Jagatsukh Industries Pvt Ltd under the leadership of its Director, Jagatjit Singh Passi. It has been specifically developed to suit Indian farming conditions and diverse crop patterns.
Equipped with advanced GPS-based live tracking, the sprayer enables real-time monitoring of field operations. Its automatic rate-control technology ensures precise application of agrochemicals as per crop requirements, significantly reducing chemical wastage and operational costs.
The uniform droplet distribution system guarantees even spraying across the crop canopy, leading to improved pest and disease control and enhanced productivity. It also helps reduce Maximum Residue Levels (MRL) in crops, thereby supporting safer food production and adherence to international standards.
Designed with high ground clearance, a durable chassis, and user-friendly controls, the machine is suitable for crops such as cotton, sugarcane, maize, paddy, and other row crops without causing crop damage. It reduces dependency on manual labor and saves critical time during peak spraying periods.
Importantly, the precision sprayer enhances operator safety by minimizing direct exposure to chemicals. It also contributes to environmental sustainability by preventing over-application and spray drift.
This advanced innovation is expected to significantly benefit Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs), Custom Hiring Centres (CHCs), and progressive farmers. The launch marks a major milestone in advancing smart, digital, and sustainable agricultural mechanization in India.
