Jaipur: The Jaipur Architecture Festival 2026, organized alongside India Stone Mart 2026, concluded successfully at the Jaipur Exhibition & Convention Centre (JECC), Sitapura. The event was jointly organized by Laghu Udyog Bharati, CEDOS, and RIICO.
The two-day national-level architecture festival concluded in the august presence of Union Minister of Law and Justice (Independent Charge), Shri Arjun Ram Meghwal, who attended the closing ceremony as the Chief Guest.
After the day-long festival sessions, Union Minister Shri Arjun Ram Meghwal arrived at JECC, visited and reviewed the India Stone Mart 2026 exhibition, and participated in the closing session of the Jaipur Architecture Festival, formally marking its conclusion.
Address by Union Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal
While addressing the closing session, Union Minister Shri Arjun Ram Meghwal said,
“Stone, architecture, and urban development are key pillars of India’s economic and cultural strength. Platforms like the Jaipur Architecture Festival play a vital role in strengthening dialogue between policy, design, and industry.”
Highlighting Rajasthan’s significant contribution to the stone sector at both national and international levels, he emphasized the need to adopt sustainable mining practices, value addition, and modern technologies to ensure long-term growth of the industry.
Jaipur Architecture Festival 2026: Second Day and Conclusion
On the second and final day, the festival witnessed master speaker sessions, expert panel discussions, and student design installations, which emerged as major highlights.
Renowned architect Jitendra Mehta, in his session based on the “Indore Development Model”, explained how balanced urban planning, citizen participation, and sustainable infrastructure have transformed Indore into a national benchmark for urban development.
In addition, expert speakers shared insights on themes such as “Reinventing Local Stone with Modern Construction Technologies” and “Stone in the Age of Glass and Steel”, highlighting the growing relevance of Rajasthan’s local stones in contemporary architecture.
Presence of Andhra Pradesh Mines Minister Kollu Ravindra Garu
On the concluding day, Hon’ble Andhra Pradesh Minister for Mines, Shri Kollu Ravindra Garu, also visited India Stone Mart 2026.
In his address, he described India Stone Mart 2026 as a visionary and timely initiative, stating that the exhibition is not merely a trade platform but is deeply connected with sustainability and environmental responsibility, which are crucial in today’s global context.
Emphasizing technological innovation, efficient resource management, and eco-friendly practices in the stone and mining sector, Shri Kollu Ravindra Garu expressed confidence that future projects emerging from platforms like India Stone Mart would be economically strong while also prioritizing environmental balance.
Participation of Students and Young Architects
Design installations presented by architecture students at the Jaipur Architecture Festival 2026 received wide appreciation from experts and senior architects. Direct interaction, mentorship, and guidance for students remained one of the key achievements of the festival.
