Indian Army Officers Honoured; MoU Signed Between BMCHRC and Army Therapy Equipment Worth ₹15 Lakh Donated to ‘Asha School’

 


Jaipur: Bhagwan Mahaveer Cancer Hospital and Research Centre (BMCHRC) signed a significant Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Indian Army during a समारोह held at the banquet hall of Entertainment Paradise in Jaipur. The event was graced by Chief Guest Lieutenant General Manjinder Singh, General Officer Commanding-in-Chief, South Western Command.

On the occasion, Indian Army officers were also honoured for the successful conduct of the Army Day Parade. Those felicitated included Lieutenant General Manjinder Singh, Mrs. Barinderjeet Kaur (Regional President, AWWA, South Western Command), and Major General Amar Ramdasani.


The MoU aims to strengthen cooperation in cancer treatment and healthcare services, ensuring better medical facilities for serving army personnel and their families. Under the agreement, BMCHRC will provide free cancer treatment to serving soldiers, their spouses, and children, if required. Additionally, free training will be offered in academic programs including DNB, along with home care and tele-consultation services for critically ill patients.





The agreement also includes provisions for providing employment opportunities on a priority basis to war widows and their children. In emergency situations, especially during war, BMCHRC will provide two surgical teams and 200 units of blood.

During the event, BMCHRC also donated therapy and educational equipment worth ₹15 lakh to Asha School, run by the South Western Command. The equipment includes hydrotherapy harnesses, sensory tiles, therapy units, a ball pool, smart boards, and walkers.

Speaking on the occasion, BMCHRC Chairman Navratan Kothari emphasized the organization’s commitment to supporting children with special needs by providing better resources. Senior Vice President Anila Kothari stated that the collaboration would significantly strengthen healthcare services for army personnel and their families.

The event was also attended by Lieutenant General P. S. Shekhawat, Major General S. C. Pareek (Executive Director, BMCHRC), Dr. Geetanjali Agrawal Joshi, and Dr. Puneet Singh, along with several dignitaries, representatives from clubs, communities, and educational institutions.
