Jaipur, March 15, 2026: Narayana Hospital, in collaboration with Koshika Foundation, organized a press conference highlighting their ongoing initiative aimed at providing life-saving treatment to underprivileged children suffering from serious heart diseases.
Launched with the spirit of “Save Little Hearts, Save Little Lives,” the initiative has been running successfully for the past 7–8 years and is now being expanded with renewed commitment. The primary objective is to ensure that children from economically weaker sections receive timely and critical cardiac treatment, which they might otherwise be unable to afford. Over the years, the program has enabled hundreds of life-saving heart surgeries and treatments.
Inspiring Patient Stories
Several children have been given a new lease on life through this initiative:
Bismillah (1 year, Bihar): Diagnosed at just one month old with Tetralogy of Fallot (TOF), a complex congenital heart defect. Due to low weight, surgery was delayed. After gaining sufficient weight, a successful surgery was performed, and the child recovered well.
Suraj (17 years, Karauli): Initially operated in 2016, but due to financial constraints, proper follow-up was not possible, leading to complications. He returned in 2023, received treatment again, and is now living a healthy life.
Ishika (17 years, Bikaner): Admitted with severe breathlessness. Initially planned for an interventional procedure, doctors opted for open-heart surgery, which was successful, allowing her to return home healthy.
Saurav (14 years, Uttar Pradesh): Suffering from weak heart function affecting growth, he underwent valve replacement surgery. Post-surgery, his health improved significantly.
Swati (11 years, Tonk): Collapsed during a school performance and was diagnosed with a heart defect. She underwent a successful PDA device closure and has now fully recovered.
Doctors emphasized that along with successful surgery, post-operative care plays a crucial role in complete recovery.
