Chief Secretary Reviews Preparations for Pravasi Rajasthani Day–2025 Departments instructed to ensure timely and high-quality arrangements for the first Pravasi Rajasthan Day to be held on 10 December at JECC

 



Jaipur, 21 November. Chief Secretary V. Srinivas chaired a high-level review meeting at the Secretariat on Friday regarding the preparations for Pravasi Rajasthani Day–2025. He directed all departments to complete the arrangements on time and with highest standards.

The Chief Secretary said that the first edition of the Pravasi Rajasthani Day, announced by the Chief Minister, is proposed on 10 December 2025 at JECC, Jaipur, and will serve as an important platform to connect the Rajasthan diaspora across the world with the state’s development.

It was informed in the meeting that around 4,500 participants are expected to attend, including members of the diaspora, industrialists, and senior representatives from the Central and State governments.
During the inaugural session, a Coffee Table Book prepared on the basis of MoUs achieved in RR-GIS 2024, featuring nearly 1,500 projects, will be released. Pravasi Rajasthani Samman Awards will also be presented.

The session will also witness the launch of 13 new state policies, including:

  • Global Capability Centre Policy
  • NRR Policy
  • Agriculture & Food Processing Policy
  • AI-ML Policy
  • Industrial Policy
  • New Tourism Policy
  • Sports Policy
  • Green Growth Credit Policy
  • Trees Outside Forest & Agro-Forestry Policy
  • Rajasthan Trade Promotion Policy
  • Technical Skill Policy
  • Semiconductor Policy
  • Aerospace & Defence Policy

The Chief Secretary reviewed preparations for all eight sectoral sessions.
The NRR session will cover topics such as the role of the global diaspora, investment and entrepreneurship opportunities, and the role of youth for Viksit Rajasthan @ 2047.





In the Education session, experts from BITS Pilani, IIM Udaipur, IIT Jodhpur, Amity University, and others will discuss innovation, skill development, and quality education.
The Tourism session will focus on sustainable tourism, digital services, hotel investment, global connectivity, and promoting Rajasthan as a major global tourist destination.

In the Health session, speakers from various institutions will discuss future healthcare systems, medical research, clinical innovation, and diaspora doctors’ engagement.
In the Industry session, leading companies such as Hindustan Zinc, Welspun, JK Cement, AU Small Finance Bank, Borosil, Titagarh Rail, Shree Cement, Piramal, and JCB India will participate.
The Water Resources session will include presentations on safe drinking water, wastewater recycling, urban water infrastructure, and Jal Jeevan Mission.

A review was also conducted on invitation, registration, and confirmation status.
So far, 15,435 invitations have been sent and 3,260 registrations have been received.
A 17-member calling team has been deployed for outreach to diaspora members.
A total of 5,775 badges are being prepared for various categories such as Guest of Honour, Special Invitee, Delegate, Media, Government Officers, Service Staff, Organisers, and Protocol Officers.

The Chief Secretary reviewed the progress of arrangements by each department.
The Industries Department informed that the JECC layout and sectoral session structure have been finalized. Stage setup, logistics, control room, branding, and camp offices are in progress.
Urban Development Department, JDA, and JMC are working on landscaping, road maintenance, beautification, lighting of major buildings, public space cleaning, and installation of signage around JECC.

The GAD is arranging hotel bookings for state guests, vehicles, airport protocol desks, and government guest houses.
The Home Department and Police are managing VVIP movement, traffic management, parking, alternate routes, and security protocol.
DIPR is finalising the media plan, media registration, media centre, and logistics.
DOIT is preparing high-speed internet, VC support, and technical staff deployment at the venue.

The Chief Secretary instructed that registration for all speakers and participants should be completed on priority.
All departments must provide brief audio-visuals showcasing their achievements for the ‘Pragati Path’ area and sectoral sessions by 30 November.
Confirmation of Central ministers, officials, and key speakers must be shared with the Industries Department immediately.
Departments were also directed to actively share event-related content on their social media platforms for wider publicity.

He added that Pravasi Rajasthani Day is associated with the pride and global identity of the state, and through excellent coordination and high-level preparations, the event will be made a grand success.

Senior officials from Industries & Commerce, Tourism, Home, Urban Development, Water Resources, Medical & Health, Planning, DOIT, DIPR, Rajasthan Foundation and other departments attended the meeting.
