Nearly 600 students of the school participated in the programme, presenting a wide range of colourful and captivating cultural performances that left the audience spellbound.

The programme began with the traditional lighting of the ceremonial lamp and Saraswati Vandana, setting a solemn and auspicious tone for the event. Students presented classical and folk dances, group songs, thematic dance dramas and cultural tableaux reflecting the diversity and richness of Indian civilisation. Performances based on Rajasthani folk culture, patriotism and Sanatan traditions received enthusiastic applause from the audience.

Addressing the gathering, Gajanan Sharma, Director of GD International School, emphasised the importance of preserving cultural values in the modern era. He stated, “Dharohar represents our cultural identity. In today’s fast-paced and digital world, children are gradually drifting away from their roots. Programmes like ‘Dharohar’ play a vital role in reconnecting students with Indian culture, Sanatan values and our civilisational heritage.” He further highlighted that Indian culture is not only ancient but also globally respected for its depth, inclusiveness and human values.

Along with cultural performances, the ceremony also recognised academic excellence. Students who delivered outstanding results in board examinations and other academic activities were honoured with mementos and certificates of appreciation, encouraging them to strive for higher achievements.

Distinguished guests and parents present on the occasion were welcomed in a traditional manner with garlands and turbans, reflecting India’s age-old hospitality and cultural ethos. The guests and parents highly appreciated the performances of the students and commended the school management for its consistent efforts in promoting holistic education.

Many speakers praised GD International School for maintaining a balanced focus on academics as well as co-curricular and cultural activities, stating that such initiatives contribute significantly to the all-round development of students.

Concluding the programme, Director Gajanan Sharma expressed his gratitude to all guests, parents, teachers and students for their cooperation and support. He added that the school regularly organises cultural programmes, festivals and educational activities to nurture discipline, moral values and social responsibility among students, and wished everyone a bright and successful future.
